My work is based on observations of the sea near my home – the pieces act as ‘caught moments’ of movement, colour and rhythm.
It is thrown in fine porcelain. Often the work is altered when fresh– eg by making oval – or inserting spirals. I use several layers of brushed dry and running glazes, which interact in the long firing.
