Hand built stoneware sculptural and functional vessels where surface texture and hidden detail play a major part.
My latest vessels are inspired by my home city, Stoke on Trent and the urban areas of rows of terraced houses, often sandwiched between industrial factories. The boarding up of windows, peeling paint, roof timbers and collapsed walls all play a part.
Often there are patterns and recognisable lines hidden amongst the debris which appear in my work.
