These are wood fired pots, made and glazed using materials that I have collected myself. Rocks are crushed, ground and blended to make glazes that represent the geology of specific locations around the UK. They are, quite literally, the colours of the landscape.
Pottery, at heart, is the fiery transformation of the mud, grit and that rock we live on, into objects. Working with materials in this way allows these objects to tell a story of the physical world that we inhabit.
