Johanne’s practice is all about exploring the qualities and limits of porcelain, discovering its fragile beauty and inherent strength. Leaving the surface of the wheel-thrown pieces either enhanced by a clear, shiny glaze or by hand polishing, she aims to allow the natural qualities of the porcelain to shine through.
