Emily Myers makes a distinctive range of thrown vessels. Once the pots have dried and are leather hard, they are refined and altered by turning, carving and faceting. Her pots are domestic in scale but sculptural in feel. The combination of the red clay, controlled forms and matt barium glazes create objects which are almost metallic in appearance.
