Amanda-Sue Rope

Inspired by the geometry and balance of the built environment from Neolithic stone circles to Gothic cathedrals, through to industrial and domestic buildings of the 20th century, Amanda-Sue’s constructed vessels incorporate both wheel-thrown and hand-building techniques. Her work ranges from decorative one-off columnar and bottle-like forms to sculptural lidded vessels.
