My practice focuses on light and shadow and uses origami folds in porcelain as a vehicle to enable me to explore this further.
Pieces made singularly are beautiful and fragile, but when assembled in multiples they take on a spontaneous power which is more beautiful and compelling.
Using the origami rippled surface or edge of the porcelain allows me to create very different effects, but it is always about the art of the fold, the power of multiples, light, shadow, and the space between.
