My work has evolved from the influences of coastal and river environments and the archaeology of Cornwall, where I live. Forms may vary but are united by materials and style including making methods.
Exploration with ideas and materials is ongoing, sometimes leading to a new body of work which is developed alongside subtle changes of existing forms. A spontaneous and painterly approach is adopted in the application of slips and glazes.
All work is in stoneware clay, incorporating other materials. Fired to 1270 degrees in an electric kiln, often many times for desired results.
