Yo Thom is a Japanese potter based in Dorset.
Her work is a synthesis of her cultural background as a Japanese, and her current life in the beautiful Dorset countryside.
Her latest inspiration comes from the old Japanese indigo patchwork “Boro”. She combines the image of Boro textile with the landscapes that surrounds her home in UK.
“I am not trying to replicate Japanese traditional pottery, instead my work is a reflection of being proud to be Japanese, while trying to portray my own unique world that unites two different homes.”
