I make thrown porcelain and stoneware, mainly for domestic use with some larger one-off exhibition pieces. Cups, jugs and vases are left plain with classic glazes or decorated with inlay and sgraffito in black and white, often single fired in a reduction atmosphere. Inspired by the rich history of decorated pottery, I use rhythmical repeated marks or motifs drawn from nature to respond to the form of the pot.

Between making I run workshops for small groups of adults looking to improve their throwing skills.
