Oxford Ceramics Fair

My nerikomi porcelain pieces are subtle, tactile, sensuous and contemplative. They are unglazed, smoke fired and waxed which gives them a rich and almost ancient look.
I’m fascinated by the interplay of symmetry and asymmetry, perfection and imperfection and I try to capture this in my work. I’m drawn to primitive mark making, irregular repetition and the geometry of patterns in nature.
